In this series I'll open up a raw and honest recounting of my childhood as well as my early adult years as I did my best to navigate today's environment while unlearning toxic and traumatic behaviours as well as remain in regular contact with my abusers.
Apparently, in my family, it means that if you're old enough to verbalise it, then you're old enough to internalise it, because speaking out about it will only get you isolated.
