Twilight Serenity

All over Australia, South Australia, Rural New South Wales & the Australian Capital Territory

Experience the peacefulness of twilight in these forest landscapes under a cloudy sky, as the day transitions into night.

A warm orange glow highlights the horizon as the large yellow sun, pictured centrally above, sets. While the hot sun itself is blurred by soft, almost translucent clouds above the horizon -- it is reflected in it's entirety on the edge of the still wet sands, pictured in the fore.
Between the two is an active, deep blue ocean, echoing the sky in each ripple and wave below.

The last orange rays burst up from the horizon in protest of the oncoming night. The Moon is ready, high in the sky with the deep blue only momentarily lightened by the bright horizon below.

The last light of day shines bright in this photo, carefully and naturally framed by the entirely shadowed fore. Silhouettes of trees and forestry dot the horizon, and only enhance the pinks, purples and yellows beautifully on display in the skies.

The sun has set, it’s well past the line of the horizon. Only the echoes of its colours remain, a golden yellow lines the horizon, gently giving way to a soft burnt umber which in turn cedes it’s presence to pink and then unto purple and a deep blue. Promising in turn to give way to the oncoming Winter’s Night.
