It’s Not an Easy Thing, to Understand the Mind of the Monster who Haunts You

It’s quite possibly one of the oddest ways of describing it, but that’s what it feels like to me, like I understand, at least in part, the mind and motivations that created and fed the monster who raised me. It’s honestly terrifying how easy it is for me to understand her, and others like her, it makes it so much harder to hate them, and I should, shouldn’t I?
